🌿 About Bosscraft

Written by Whitney Kippes, founder of Boss Insights and the Bosscraft Consultant Community, this publication grew out of more than a decade of near constant existential/professional crises and inner work. (TLDR; I’m still figuring it out.)

Being a boss doesn’t have to mean burnout.

Hi friends and welcome to my little corner of the internet. Bosscraft is a newsletter, community space, and professional coaching practice. While my advice and my work is applicable to many people in many different walks of life, my own career moved from global development work into the freelance world and now involves mixing the woo-woo with the c-suite.

My narrative tends to resonate most with the folks who have jumped ship from the 9-5 in favor of navigating the messy beautiful world of working for themselves. I built Bosscraft because going solo shouldn’t mean going it alone—and high-impact work shouldn’t cost you your sanity, health, or nervous system.

My work sits at the intersection of grounded business strategy and subtle magic. It’s where pipeline tracking, pricing workbooks, and professional metrics meet intuitive gut-checks, tarot as a reflective mirror, and seasonal capacity rhythms. Think of it as part field guide, part pep talk, and part coven.

This page is home to my newsletter, a community space, and podcast for consultants, freelancers, and professionals building work that feels sustainable and values-aligned.

Here’s a lot of the ground we cover:

💡 Practical insights on consulting, freelancing, and business growth

🧰 Reflective frameworks, tarot card pulls, and real boundary setting tools

🌱 Honest essays on what it means to balance ambition and over-functioning

(Plus a lot of hot takes.)

What you take from this space depends on you. If you want to subscribe and get every essay in your inbox, great. If you want to level up to access the group chat and judgment-free consultant coven, we’re here. If you want to work with me one-on-one to untangle something sticky, you’ll find that option as well.

Work should feel less like survival — and more like something you can sustain.

Glad you're here. You don’t have to go it alone.

(Looking for organizational business development, institutional proposal support, or INGO advisory? That work lives separately over at Boss Insights.)
