Hi friend,
I’ve been sitting on this one for a while… and today I finally get to share it with you:
✨ I launched a podcast.
It’s called Bosscraft: Building the Work You Want, and it’s all about reimagining how we work — with more honesty, more agency, and a lot more care for our actual lives.
This isn’t a “hack your productivity” show.
It’s space for the stories underneath our careers: burnout, boundaries, chronic illness, rest, capacity, and the slow, personal work of figuring out what “enough” really means.
And today, Episode 1 is available to everyone — paid and free subscribers.
After this, the full series will be available for paid Bosscraft community members and paid subscribers to the Boss Insights Substack, but I wanted the first episode to be something we all could share together.
🎙 Episode 1: The Gardener Hadn’t Changed
In the first episode, I share the story behind Bosscraft:
- multiple burnouts
- a chronic illness diagnosis that forced me to stop overriding my body
- the moment I realized that jumping jobs didn’t matter if I didn’t change
It’s about learning to prioritize real self-care, making time for hobbies, crafting better personal and professional boundaries, and recognizing how much we need community to support those changes.
You can listen to Episode 1 here:
Why the rest of the podcast will be for paid subscribers
I want this series to feel intimate — like a quiet room rather than another piece of content for the algorithm. Keeping the ongoing episodes for our paid members allows me to:
- create more vulnerable, in-depth conversations
- share behind-the-scenes stories I wouldn’t post publicly
- invest the time and care needed to make each episode meaningful
- nurture this community in a sustainable way
If you’re already a paid subscriber: thank you. You make this possible.
If you’re not, you’re welcome to join the Bosscraft community or use the button below to upgrade your substack subscription (with a 20% discount) anytime if you’d like access to everything that comes next.
I’d love to hear from you
If you listen to Episode 1, I’d genuinely love to know:
- What resonated?
- Where are you in your own season of work?
- How are you defining “enough” right now?
Just hit reply — I read every message.
Thank you for being here at the very beginning of this new chapter. I’m excited to grow this with you. 🌿
With care,
Whitney
